Ah, nostalgia. Last installment of NY trip photos including some of my favorite NYE photos will be up next Sunday evening. I wonder how my vacation buddies feel about waiting so long for these pictures... Sorry guys :(
Houston folk, I need help finding a place to live come May after graduation, and of course, SAFETY is my number one issue now. I assumed paying a premium like $900+ for a 1-1 would help filter out the places with higher crime rates but www.apartmentratings.com has me now convinced that unless I shell out $1300/mo for Mosaic near Hermann Park, I will have to live waiting for the day my apartment door gets ninja-ed by some good-for-nothings. Of course, I could get renter's insurance, but does being reimbursed for the theft of my chevron tray that I snagged right before it sold out during a flash sale really comfort me? No, it doesnt. And does it pay for the time spent worrying what kinds of bacteria the perpetrators tracked into my place from their filthy shoes? Nope. As you can see, I grew up in the 'burbs, and the closest place to a city I've lived in is Austin which spoiled me rotten. For instance, my number one concern in apartment-hunting in Austin used to be finding a place close enough to campus with WINDOWS for optimal LIGHTING. Safety versus window placement; times have changed.
I dread tomorrow. We hardly celebrate holidays in healthcare.
